Flatware.

Well, today, I purchased 16 place settings of everyday flatware.  My original flatware was limited to only 8 or less depending on what was needed.  But, for some reason, I had enough spoons for 16, though I am not sure how that happened.

Well, what ever.  I now have enough flatware for friends and relatives.

Widower; Asset Or Liability?

For some women, a widower is an asset.  After all, the marriage ended because of death and not divorce.  So that would seem to indicate that the man has some redeemable qualities.  But, for other women, a widower is a liability because she has to compete with someone who only exists in the heart and mind of the widower.

So, liability or asset?  I guess it depends on the self esteem of the woman.

Learning To Live Alone, In Public.

The longer that I live alone, the more I get adjusted to it.  At first, I was afraid to eat by my self in a restaurant.  But now, I am fine with it.  Tomorrow, I am going to attend Art Prize by my self.  And, I will be fine. In the future, I will probably attend movies and concerts as a solo act.  And, I will be fine with that also.  The longer that I live alone, the easier that it becomes.

Eating Popcorn.

Working for the State, I have seen a lot of strange behavior.  But just when I think I have seen it all, I see something new.  And that was the case the other day.

While popcorn is a pretty popular snack, most of my co-workers just eat it straight from the bag.  But, I recently discovered that one of my co-workers uses a spoon to eat her popcorn.  Apparently she doesn’t like the feel of butter and salt on her fingers.  So she transports the popcorn from the bag to her mouth with a spoon.

Now, while I wish that this was the strangest thing that I have ever seen at the state, it isn’t unfortunately.

Screaming Banshee!

The other morning, I turned on the TV and then stepped into the bathroom.  Moments later, I heard a loud screeching and shrieking in my house.  I rushed from the bathroom expecting to come face to face with a banshee or so disembodied spirit.  Instead, I found former Governor Gramholm delivering her DNC speech.

Well, I guess if the politics thing doesn’t work for her, she will always have a future haunting houses.

Swine Flu.

Well, we have had our first confirmed death from Swine Flu.  After the medias failed attempts to instill fear and panic in us with the West Nile virus they can double their efforts with the West Nile virus AND the Swine Flu.

It is too bad that the media wasn’t around for the Spanish Flu.  Then, they would really have had something to write about.

The House Must Go.

I recently had someone tell me that no woman would want to live in the same house that my late wife Kathy lived in.  In short, the house and everything in it needs to go.

Well, I disagree.  I guess if a woman has concerns about my house and my  furnishings, she is also going to have concerns about me.  So, we may as well cut our losses and move on.

…And I Vote!!!

A post that I read from a woman on Facebook said that she wasn’t going to vote for Mitt Romney because she did not approve of the new bridge to Canada.

Ah…. that would be Rick Snyder the governor of Michigan. And he is not running for president of the United States.  And, Mitt Romney, who is running for president, is not building a  bridge to Canada.

I just hope that she is not old enough to vote.

The Bridge To Canada Scare Tactics!

The owner of the existing bridge from Detroit to Windsor Canada is scared that he will loose money when the new bridge goes into place.  So, this 82 year old billionaire, is putting out TV ads saying that the state will have to cut police, and fire and retirement benefits to pay for the bridge!!!   This, of course, is nothing but scare tactics which absolute makes me very angry.  I do not like lies and deception which is exactly what this man is producing.

The only thing that is good about his ads is the money that he if finally forced to spend in Michigan.  I will be glad when it is all over.
