I purchased a hundred “Forever” stamps from the post office. I like the concept of the “Forever” stamp because I don’t have to worry about buying additional stamps if the price of postage goes up. Unfortunately, right after I purchased the stamps, the price went down. Oh well, such it life.

Potassium Levels.
The other day when I had my yearly physical, I told the doctor that I eat a banana every day to make sure that my potassium levels are normal. He looked at my lab results and told me that my potassium levels look just fine and that I didn’t need to worry about them. To which I replied that my potassium levels are normal because I eat a banana every day.
Heart Healthy
The other day in the grocery store I noticed two products from the same manufacturer. One was listed as Heart Healthy and the other was not. So I compared the nutritional info on the boxes and discovered that the Heart Healthy one had a half of gram less fat than the regular product. Well, I guess a half of gram of fat makes all of the difference.
Eye Glass Cleaner.
For many years, I have cleaned my glasses with soap and water. But the other day, I decided that it was time to purchase some bottled cleaner for my glasses. So when I got home from the store, I got out my cleaner and the special cleaning rag and began to clean my glasses. When I finished, I held them up to the light to check them and discovered that they were still dirty. So, I went through the process again. And again, the results were the same. After several tries, I gave up and used my good old soap and water and it worked just fine. So much for the store bought stuff.
Little Women.
Little Women is a classic novel, but I think that it is also a psychological condition. Similar to “small man syndrome”, Little Women syndrome seems to manifest itself in short women. And with this syndrome comes a nasty and aggressive attitude and the need to be in control. And while not every short woman has this syndrome, I have encounter many who do.
It Was An Accident!
A professional basketball player kick one of his opponents squarely in the groin and then claimed that it was an accident. But according to the game cameras, it looked pretty intentional. I guess he meant to kick him in the head but missed.
Smart Water Bottles.
They now have smart water bottles that actually keep track of how much you drink and send that information to your smart phone. While this is a neat concept, I am just not sure how practical it is.
Up To 30 Pounds For $149.00
The weight loss program advertises “up to 30 pounds for $149.00.” That figures out to be about $5.00 per pound. But what if you loose more than 30 pounds. Do you have to pay more?
Pooh, Is That You?
We had another bear sighting in the Grand Rapids area. But this time, instead of a golf course, it was outside of an office building. The bears are getting bolder. I wonder if that is what tore down my bird feeder?
Skycam To Nowhere.
Over the years, the local TV station has installed a number of “Skycams” in various locations. “Skycams” are remote TV cameras usually installed in high locations that render an aerial view of the city. And while most of these cameras provide a scenic view, their latest installation was at the fair grounds. And when the fair is in progress, I am sure that it will be interesting. But until then, all that you see is a building and an empty field.
