Dreams, The Beginning.

In the beginning.

It was back in 1968 when it first happened. It was October and I had just become a Christian.

I had this really strange dream. I say strange because it was very different from my other dreams. First of all, this dream was in black and white. I usually dream in color. Plus, I could see myself in this dream which is different from my other dreams. Finally, there was no movement. Everything was stationary. It was as if I was looking at a picture of myself.

In the dream, I was looking down at my self. Apparently, I was above the action so to speak.

There were four of us in a small room. We were all in military fatigues and we were standing in a circle play parade drums. One of the people was a tall black man wearing a flat brimmed hat.

The room was Spartan. There were a couple of wall lockers and a foot locker. The windows were composed of small panes of glass in a wooden frame. The ceiling was open with a single porcelain light fixture.

He had this idea about playing parade drums while we marched, So, he got myself and two other guys to play the parade drums with him. We all practiced in a circle in a small room in the barracks. The room had a couple of wall lockers and footlockers. The windows were composed of many small panes of glass in a wooden frame. A single porcelain light fixture hung from an open ceiling……
