When I first got my Accord, I noticed that none of the interior ceiling lights worked.<\/p>\n
There was a dome light in the back that was shut off so I turned that on.\u00a0 Great.\u00a0 But, there were also two map lights in the front that were supposed to light when a door is opened.<\/p>\n
A quick check of the owners manual revealed an on\/off switch next to the lights.\u00a0 No problem.\u00a0 I will just set the switch to on.\u00a0 But, that didn’t seem to fix the problem.\u00a0 So,\u00a0 I pushed on the passenger side map light to turn it on manually.\u00a0 No good.\u00a0 Rats!<\/p>\n
Next, I tried the drivers side map light.\u00a0 I pushed on the light to turn it on.\u00a0 But, it too didn’t work.\u00a0 But, when I got out of the car and shut the door, the passenger side map light came on.\u00a0 OK?\u00a0 Then, after 30 seconds, it dimmed and went out.\u00a0 Great.<\/p>\n
The next day when I went to the car, I found that the drivers side map light was on.\u00a0 Apparently, it came on some time during the night.\u00a0 So, I pushed on the light and it went out.<\/p>\n
Next, I tried the passenger side map light, but it didn’t work.\u00a0 I tried the drivers side map light and now it didn’t work.<\/p>\n
Thinking that the bulbs were bad, I pull both lenses and removed the bulbs.\u00a0 they both seemed fine so I put them back in.\u00a0 Suddenly, both lights came on when I opened the door.\u00a0 And each light came on when I pressed the light.\u00a0 Great!<\/p>\n
But now, only one light works.\u00a0 I am going to replace both bulbs and if that doesn’t fix it, I will let the dealership figure it out.<\/p>\n
