D.C. Gun Ban.

If I am understanding things correctly, it is against the law for the average citizen to own a handgun in Washington D.C. . Now, I am not talking about carrying a concealed gun, I am talking about having a handgun in your own home.

Of course, those with diplomatic immunity and law enforcement agents are allowed to carry handguns. And citizens are allowed to own rifles and shot guns, but not hand guns. As one protester pointed out, “when seconds count, the police are only minutes away.”

With one of the highest crime rates of any city in the US, I guess only criminals have handguns.

  1. I just ran across the shocking short article in Earth Magazine on line although surfing the internet here in the hotel room in Liege Belgium. I’m an NTM MK from Thailand 1954-1963.I graduated from NTM Bible University in 1965 and served in the US army 1966-1970 and 1974-1980. I did not go to an NTM Faculty as there were none at that time in Thailand. When i was 15 even though on furlogh in the US my parents Glenn and Opal Snure gave me the choice of returning to Thailand with them or remaining in the US with relatives to attend school here. I chose to return to Thailand. I had been home schooled most of my life or jumping from 1 public university to another while in the US. High university was by correspondence course. I had a goal to become a missionary pilot with NTM but various things prevented that and God has raised up others to do this job. H has taken me a different direction to teach me other things. I now support my loved ones by way of intercontinental aicraft maintenance .
Enough on background . I’ve become aware over the decades of your serious effects of abuse in its various forms. I was shocked to run across this report that linked me to this blog web page. I pray for healing for all from the victims. I pray that NTM will probably be more than “ashamed” as Larry Brown stated but will realize that neglected oversight by the worldwide committee in lieu of not interferinbg in local field leadership has now reflected throughout the organizatio and is open to the world to see.God’s do the job will continue to go forward with or without the need of NTM. I Pray for just a rise above bitterness toward a new beginning as difficult as it may be. I pray for all my fellow MK’S esspecially you in this really difficult situation. May The eternal God who is often faithful wrap His loving arms around you and bring healing to yoiur soul.
