I read an article the other day about a study done on skim/low fat milk. It stated that men who drink skim/low fat milk are at an increase risk of developing prostate cancer.
Now lets see here. When you are young you 1. drink whole milk because weight is not a factor and 2. young men don’t develop prostate cancer. How ever, as you get older your risk of prostate cancer increases and you gain weight easily. And because older men gain weight easily, they are advised to switch to skim/low fat milk.
I am going to guess that if older men switched to whole milk, the number of prostate cancers would remain the same. It is just that they would be fat and have prostate cancer. Then researchers could do a study linking prostate cancer to being fat.
