I just read an article in Car and Driver. Oldsmobile is returning! Unfortunately, not to Michigan or the United State. It is returning via Japan.
According to the article, Toyota has acquired the Oldsmobile name and plans to use it on a car line designed to fit between it’s Lexus and Toyota lines. It seems that someone from GM neglected to renew to copy write on the Oldsmobile name and Toyota picked it up.
While Toyota does not plan to build all of the old Oldsmobile models, it does plan to use some of the more popular models names on some of their new cars. In particular, they like the 88 and the Bravada models and are even considering reviving the 442.
And today is what…..?

The 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee has been spotted during testing, and the SUV wasn’t wearing any of the camouflage we’re used to seeing. Even more surprising, engineers weren’t putting the truck through its paces out at Moab. Instead, the eagle-eyed crew over at Piston Spy nabbed a few shots of the Grand Cherokee as it was making laps of the Nurburgring.
Allow us to introduce you to the Marussia F2 – a vehicle that’s one part mission control, three parts SUV and a dash of Nissan GT-R. The company that brought us the likes of the B2 supercar recently unveiled its new globe-roaming creation at telecommunications conference. Why would a carmaker decide to pull the sheets off of its latest product outside of the auto show circuit? Because in this case, the F2 is loaded with the company’s new multimedia system.
Terrific work! This is the type of information that should be shared around the web. Shame on the search engines for not positioning this post higher!
