Well, the sequel was bad enough, but the third installment was even worse. I was sitting in my living room with a lady friend on Thursday night when Kristan went flying by. (I named the bat after a woman that I work with.)
I jumped to my feet and rushed to open up the outside doors hoping that Kristan would fly out. My lady friend dove under an afghan.
After flying around the kitchen, dinning room and living room a couple of times, Kristan ignored the open doors and headed for the basement. I, in turn, closed the basement door and prepared for a long night while my lady friend regained her composure and left the house.
Assuming that Kristan was now contained in the basement, I started to settle down for the night. But, Kristan returned once again for another fly over.
Since the basement door was closed, I assumed that Kristan had not really gone down into the basement. But, to my amazement, Kristan dove under the door and disappeared once again into the basement. So, I opened one of the basement windows from the top. And, after I closed the basement door, I stuffed a towel under the door and hoped for the best.
I have not seen Kristan since Thursday so I am hoping that she flew out the window. But, time will tell.
This is a great post, thanks!
