When I was in a music store the other day, I noticed a well worn guitar hanging on the wall. The finish was worn on the edges of the body, the fret board was well worn and it was slightly yellowed from smoke.
At first, I thought that it must have belonged to some famous musician. But, when I commended to the sales clerk, I learned that it was brand new.
It seems that guitar manufacturers are now distressing their guitars much like some clothing manufacturers distress their denim. That way, even the most novice of players can look like a seasoned pro. Go figure!
