Full Gospel Church.

I saw a sign on a church the other day. It stated that they were a full gospel church.

Now, I know what they meant but it got me to thinking about it. Is that a statement of beliefs or a warning or both?

Whenever I see signs like that I always think of milk. While I prefer whole gospel churches, I have been to churches that could easily qualify as a lite gospel church or even a skimmed gospel church but I have never seen a sign advertising that fact. Those kind of churches never really fill you up and you never feel bloated afterwards.

  1. Someone once stopped me on the street in Vineland and asked me if I knew where the “Full Gospel Church” was. Not seeing the spelling, I though he was clowning around asking where the Fool Gospe Church was. He has the address of the 1000 block of Landis Ave. However, he was on East Landis Ave. and the Orthodox Presbyterian Church was in the 1000 block. I later found out the Full Gospel Church was on West Landis Ave. – the other side of town. They do a lot of outreach work in the community with the other churches. They sponsor the soup kitchen and have food and clothing drives for the poor.
