In a effort to control the deer population in the area, the DNRE has changed the quote for deer. Last year, it was one per day. This year, it is five per day.

The DNRE has been getting pressure from the auto insurance companies to reduce the deer population. So, I guess this year they have taken a more aggressive approach.

Now, my bow is very quiet, so I could easily get five deer at a time. They tend to travel in herds and don’t seem to be concerned when one of their comrades suddenly decides to take a nap.

My problem is processing multiple deer. If I shoot them, then I have to hang them and clean them and I just don’t have that many good trees for hanging. Oh well, I guess I will just have to wait and see what happens.
