Once the flooring and cabinets were installed in the kitchen, it was time for new counter tops.  I ordered new granite counter tops on the day after Christmas.  On Friday, they came and took measurements.

They said that it would be about 2 weeks before the tops would be ready.  Great!!  That would give me time to finish reinstalling the cabinets.

But, on the following Wednesday, they called and told me the tops were ready for a Friday install.  FRIDAY INSTALL!!!???  I still had quite a bit of work to do to get ready for them.  So, it was kick it in the rear and get  going.

On Friday morning, I was still working on the cabinets.  I was disconnecting the old sink when they arrived.  Talk about cutting it close.  Three hours later, I had new counter tops.

And, since I had also ordered a new under cabinet sink, I had to install the faucets and drains for the sink.  3 hours later, it was done.  But, I was shot.  Early to bed, early to …. wait, I slept in on Saturday.

But, the counter tops look absolutely beautiful.  I should have taken a picture of the counter tops before we had to put stuff back on them but I didn’t.  So, the only shot that I could get was of the sink and even that had a pot in  it.  Regardless, I  do love the sink and counter tops.
