One of the big news stories of the new year is a set of twins which were just born. What makes this so interesting to the media is that one was born in 2008 and the other was born in 2009.

While this may be of big interest to the media, it is old news to me. My father was born in 1908 and his twin brother was born in 1909. So, this is nothing new to me.

I suspect that births, such as this, occur quite often. Aside from the uniqueness of the event, the family lost out on a tax deduction for 2008. Too bad.
