Some people say that brown eggs come from brown chickens.  And, white eggs come from white chickens.  But, in all actuality, the color of the eggs are determined by the color of the chickens ear lobes.  FWIW

At work, we have a counter that is often used for junk food.  Now, by junk food, I am not referring to donuts.  Rather, I am referring to food that someone has bought and discovered that did not like.

So, there are strange breakfast cereals, weird cookies and exotic teas all of which have been abandoned  by their owners.  And, they do get sampled by others in the office only to be rejected again and again.  Eventually, someone does the right thing and dumps them in the trash.

Well, the weather may be cold and snowy but at least we don’t have to deal with mosquitoes.

Well, the Apple Store phishers were back.  But this time, I managed to click on the URL before it was suspended by the web host.  What did they want from me in order to check on the “fraudulent”  Apple Store purchase?  Well, they wanted my Apple Store login and password, my full name, my date of birth, my SS# and my credit card information.

While I didn’t fall for their scam, I am sure that there are others who will.  BECAREFULL!!

This morning on the way to work, I could smell spring in the air.  No, it was cherry blossoms.  It was Skunk.  And, whether we like it or not, the Skunks are awake and spring is on its way.

A number of years ago, my cholesterol was 201.  But, the Alchemists wanted a number 200 or below.  So, they put me on medications.

After trying a half dozen different drugs over several years, they finally found one that reduced my cholesterol with out causing muscle pain. And, everyone was happy.

But then one day, I went to renew my prescription and was told that my insurance no longer covered that drug.  When I went to my doctor to find out what had happened, I was told that my cholesterol numbers were no longer important as long was I was taking a cholesterol mediation.

So, my cholesterol numbers are not important as long as I keep sending money to the drug companies.  I wonder if I can stop taking the drugs and just send my money to the drug companies?

I recently received an email stating that someone in Spain had just made a purchase on my Apple Store account.  And, they provided a URL in the event that the purchase was a fraud.

I suspected that something was amiss but I wasn’t sure.  So, I checked my Apple Store account.  There were no new purchases made.

Next, I checked on the email addresses.  The email was to “me” from “me”.  Now, I was fairly sure that if Apple was contacting me, there would an Apple address.

Finally,  I clicked on the URL.  It came back as being “suspended”.

I suspect that prior to being suspended, the URL would have asked me to enter my account information.

Always question any emails referring to your account information.

Well, a couple of weeks after passing my first Ham radio exam, I received my license in the mail.  And while I was expecting a piece of paper that I could hang on the wall, I wasn’t expecting a wallet size version also.

I guess you need the wallet size license just in case you get stopped by the FCC.

Since getting my Technician Ham radio license in January, I have decided to take the exam upgrade to the General Ham license.  Of course, the only radio that I own is a little hand held unit and I have not actually talked to anyone yet.  But, I figured that I should upgrade while I have my head in the subject matter and before the FCC changes the rules again.

It is so cold outside that the local morning news team is going to freeze a banana outside and then use it to drive a nail into a piece of wood.

I am afraid that cabin fever is beginning to over take all of us.  It is bad enough that the local news team is attempting this.   But,it is worse that we are watching it.
