This seems to be the mantra of political candidates for the last 20 years.  Yet, the roads are still not fixed.  And the lack of funding seems to be the root cause.  And the funding won’t be possible until both political party agree to it.  So,unless a candidate plans to pay for the road repairs with their own money,  fixing the roads is just another empty promise.

Well, if you are reading this then I guess the world didn’t end yesterday.

Well, here we go again.  Another group of people have made a prediction about the end of the world.  According to them, the Rapture will occur on Monday the 23 of April.  So, stay tuned.

According to a TV program, there is an abandoned railroad line that runs from Kalamazoo to Muskegon.  It was built in the 1800s along the beach of Lake Michigan. And the tracks, along with a steam locomotive are now covered with sand.  Since most people are unaware of this, I assume that some, in a newly informed public, will want to check this out.

Just a reminder, the IRS will not accept any checks for over 100 million dollars.  If you owe more than 100 million dollars in taxes, please submit multiple checks.

While watching the Masters Tournament, I notice that a lot of the spectators wear ball caps.  But, I never see any that say “John Deere” or Jack Daniels or Chevy.  I wonder if there are rules about what you can wear?

An advertisement for a house states that it has a “gourmet kitchen”.  While this is interesting, I am not sure what a “gourmet kitchen” actually is.

Studies of schools have found that boys are more likely to be disciplined than girls.  And people get paid for these studies.

We here we are, the middle of April and it is snowing again.  But, I remind myself that at least we don’t have hurricanes.

The 100th Street bridge over the expressway has now been hit for the 7th time this year.  Apparently truck drivers are not getting permits for oversized loads and therefore are not being warned of the bridge hazard.  It is getting so bad that there is now a Facebook page for the bridge.  100th Street Overpass.  Check it out.
