After receiving a plea for help from students at a Detroit public school, Ellen Degeneres gave the school a sizable donation so that they could fix up the schools gymnasium.  But, when Ellen checked back several months later on the progress of the repairs, the school officials claimed that they never received the money and did not know anything about it.  And while it is a sad situation for the poor students at the school, it is very typical for Detroit.

13 Detroit Public School principals have been convicted of accepting kickbacks involving over a million dollars.  It is no wonder that the school system is almost broke.

The recent Presidential voter recount proved to be both enlightening and informative in Detroit.  At one precinct in particular there were 605 votes recorded for Clinton.  But when the ballot box was opened for the recount, they found only 50 ballots in the box.  AMAZING!!

I bought a frozen turkey for Thanksgiving and it came in an easy open bag.  The instructions said to pull on the tabs at the bottom and the bag would open.  But in my case, the tabs pulled off but the bag did not open.  So, I got out a knife and did it the old fashion way.  So much for innovation.

They now have lamps that are made from giant salt crystals.  It appears that they have hollowed out a big chunk of salt and installed a light bulb in it.  Interesting but not very attractive.

They now have pine cones that are cinnamon scented.  I wonder if they also have cinnamon sticks that smell like pine?

If you made a bad smell while using someone else s toilet not to worry.  There is now a scent packet that you can drop in the toilet to correct the problem.  I wonder is if bubbles like a Fizzie?

Whenever I haul out my painting supplies, I see the remains of past painting projects in the dried paint spatters that they contain.  And some of these projects are over 30 years old.   Ah yes, the memories!

A famous TV chef now has a line of dog food.  Is it just me or does that bother anyone else?

A woman was recently arrested for trying to hire a hit man to kill her husband.  Turns our the hit man was an undercover police office.  But, I just have to wonder if anyone ever successfully hires a hit man?
