I decided that it was time to upgrade my peeler. The old one was OK but it was small and hurt my hand. So after reviewing several selections at the grocery store, I decided on this particular model. And it works fantastically! It has a soft cushy handle with a firm grip. Plus, the blades are surgically sharp and can peel a potatoe in one continuous motion. There is also a plastic blade guard so that you can practice peeling without actually doing so. I think that this will make a fantastic stocking stuffer for my girls come Christmas.

Hillary And NAFTA.
I find it interesting that Hillary is upset about companies moving out of the US. After all, it was Bill who signed NAFTA into law.
Potatoes And Onions Don’t Get Along.
Potatoes and onions don’t play well together. They encourage each other to sprout. Therefore, if you are tired of your potatoes and onions going bad, you need to store them in separate areas away from each other.
Wow, That Is One Ugly Ring.
When ever my wife takes her ring into the jewelry store, the clerks always comment on how beautiful it is. And while this is flattering, I suspect that they say the same thing about every ones ring regardless of how ugly it may be.
Stop, Listen, What’s That Sound….
Since I have started wearing hearing aids, I hear sounds that I have never heard before. For example, when I push the buttons on my i-Phone, they make a beeping sound. Unfortunately, I don’t know if I am hearing them for the first time or if the sounds are a new software enhancement.
Asian Street Tacos.
I saw an ad for Asian Street Tacos. But somehow, that just didn’t sound right. It is about like Mexican sushi.
Cream Cheese On The Bed.
Before I got my hearing aids, I would hear my wife say strange things. One of the strangest was when she said that she put cream cheese on the bed. Or was is clean sheets on the bed?
Ready To Eat Chicken Pot Pies At Meijer.
In the past, I have been burned by frozen chicken pot pies. And while the picture on the outside of the box always looks delicious, I usually end up with a lot of crust and gravy but little chicken. So I was skeptical about trying the Meijer ready to eat chicken pot pie. Fortunately, it was fantastic and loaded with chicken! I would definitely recommend these pot pies. And they are now on my “grab and go” list of foods.
But Yes, We Have No Rotisserie Chickens.
I went to the grocery store to buy one of their ready to eat rotisserie chickens only to discover that they were not yet ready. They said that it would be another 45 minutes so, I decided to move on to plan B which was fried chicken. Unfortunately, the clerks totally ignored me. It was as if I became invisible. So after being a non-person for 10 minutes, I decided to grab a couple of ready to eat chicken pot pies.
Wind Ensemble.
When I attended my grand daughters band concert, I noticed that the band was called a Wind Ensemble. And sure enough, with the exception of the percussion section, every instrument was a wind instrument. Of course, it looked exactly like the band that I played in when I was in high school. I guess I was in a wind ensemble and didn’t even know it.
