I recently attended a training class at one of the State of Michigan conference centers. In order to ensure the safety of everyone at the conference center, we were shown a video on the fire exits.
Now, the conference center at best only holds about 20o people. And, it only has two exits which are about 100 feet from each other. But, while the one has lots of windows and exits into a nice, safe parking lot, the other is a blind exit into a road way.
So, let me see if I understand this. If there is a fire and I have to leave the building, I can travel 50 feet in one direction and safely exit the building or I can travel 50 feet in the other direction and risk getting hit by a truck. Let me think about this………
