eHarmony; Another Match Gone Bad!

eHarmony just notified me that one of my recent matches has been pulled from the site.  And while the  circumstances were rather vague, it appears that this person was not legitimate

This is the second woman to be pulled from my account.  And, they were both Asian and both from the Philadelphia area.

I was suspicious of them from the beginning.  They both made the initial contact and they both pledged me their undying love.  Plus, their English was rather poor which led me to believe that they we immigrants.

Well, I will never know why they were pulled but it does make me wonder about the safety of my other dating sites.

Beware Of Emotions.

While emotions are fine, they are also not rational.  And, unless an emotion is tied to something concrete, it could suddenly change.

So, if a woman tells you that she loves you, ask her why.  If she says it is because you are kind, gentle, fun to be with, etc, then she has identified her emotion with something concrete.  But, if she says, “I don’t know, I just do.” then beware.  Her emotion is not based on anything concrete and therefore could change on a moments notice depending on how she feels.  And, while this question may seem awkward, it needs to be asked.

The Drain is Open.

The other day, the drain to my kitchen sink was clogged.  So I dumped some liquid drain cleaning it and went on about my business.  After about 15 minutes, I hear a loud belch coming from the kitchen.  Since my youngest daughter was not home at the time, I concluded that the drain must have cleared.

The Lowell Feed Store Is Closed.

When I drove past the Lowell Feed Store last Saturday on my way to Meijer (regional grocery chain), the sign out front said that they were closed and thanked everyone for their support.

This surprised me as they always seemed to be busy.  In fact, I was just in there a couple of weeks back buying 50 pounds of sunflower seeds.  And, since I personally know the owner, I thought that he would have mentioned the closing to me.

I hope all is well with the family.

Burger King Is Gone!

This morning on my way to Meijer (regional grocery chain), I passed by the Lowell Burger King.  I noticed that their street sign was missing but I assumed that it was just wind damage.  However, on a second take, I could see that all of the signs were missing and that the building was dark.  The Lowell Burger King is gone!

In a way, I am not surprised.   Their drive through service has been terrible lately, a reflection of bad management of the franchise.

And, I think that they made a bad decision a few years back when they decided to remove their indoor playground.  When that happened, that playground crowd took their business to the McDonalds playground just down the road.

Well, I am going to miss the Lowell Burger King.  I guess I will have to get a Whopper in Grand Rapids when I get my car washed.
