Hard Boilded Eggs.

While I was in the store the other day, I noticed a new item in the dairy case.  They are hard boiled eggs peeled and ready to use.  I guess this if for people who don’t like the deli potato salad but don’t have time to make it from scratch.

I wonder if they also have boiled potatoes for sale?

The Swimsuit.

As I was packing for my honeymoon, I remembered that I needed to take my swimsuit with me.  But, to my dismay, I couldn’t find it.

I packed it in my suit case when we went out east for Christmas, so I fully expected to find it my suit case.  But, it wasn’t there.  So, I checked all of my drawer two and three time but no luck.

Since I was at a total loss as to where it might be, I went to Meijer (regional grocery chain) and spent $20 on a new one.  And, given that my missing swim suit was over 20 years old, it was probably time for a new one.

Return Of The Laptop, Part Deux.

When I returned my laptop to Best Buy, they confirmed that once again it was dead.  And once again they told me that it would be sent to the shop for repairs.  And, if it couldn’t be repaired, I would get a refund.

At this point in time, I was kind of hoping that it couldn’t be repaired so that I could buy a different machine.  But, a few days later, they notified me that it had been repair and was being shipped back to me.

Well, we will see what happens this time.

The Return Of The Laptop.

Last week, I heard a knock on the door of my house.  When I answered it, there stood the UPS guy with a package for me.

When I opened the box, I discovered my new PC was back from the shop.  Great!  But when I read that the repair consisted of adjusting the DC power jack, I was skeptical.  After all, I had checked the DC power jack before I had returned it.  And, the light next to the jack was illuminated which told me that the DC power was connected to the machine.  But, I plugged in the power cord and turn on the machine.  And, it powered up.

When I tried using the PC, it was very slow.  And, when I checked the disk usage, I noted that it was an 100% again.  When I checked the CPU usage, it was at about 2% so I knew that the disk problem was not the result of some program running.

After a few moments, the PC asked to do some updates and I OKd it.  And, since these updates seemed to run for ever, I decided to go to bed.  The next morning, I checked the PC only to discovered that it was once again dead.

I thought about trying to fix it myself but decided to take it back to the store and let them fix it.

My Car Remote.

After eating lunch at a restaurant the other day, I hit the unlock button on my car remote as I approached my car.  But, when I got to my car, I found that all of the windows were rolled down a little and that the moon roof was partially opened.

Since the car was locked, I was fairly certain that no one got into the car.  So, a quick review of the owners manual confirmed that the car remote will also roll down the windows and open the moon roof.  Cool!!
