Racing Crash Injures Spectators.
Now a days, when you hear on the news about a racing crash injuring spectators, you don’t know if it is NASCAR or Tour De France.
It Doesn’t Get Any Better.
No Guns Allowed.
Uber has banned all drivers and passengers from carrying guns. I am sure that the Uber drivers will find comfort in knowing that their passengers are not allowed to carry guns.
The Passing Of The Light Bulb.
The other day, I went to the store to purchase some plain ordinary 75 W. light bulbs. But, they didn’t have any. They had Halogens, and CFLs and LEDs but no plain ordinary incandescent light bulbs. I guess that they are now history.
Round-abouts.
When I was growing up, there was a statue in a major intersection in a near by city. When cars entered the intersection, they simply drove around the statue in a counter-clock-wise manner. It was called a round-about. But, some forward thinking highway officials decided that the statue must go. So, it was moved to a nearby park and replaced by a much more efficient traffic light.
But now a days, forward thinking highway officials are replacing traffic lights with round-abouts. I wonder if they will move the statue back to where it was originally?
Senior Discount At Vital Records.
Since I couldn’t find my birth certificate, I needed to get a copy so that I could retire from the State of Michigan. When I went to the county clerks office for the document, I found out that they offered a senior discount. Nice! I guess that the older you get, the less likely it is that you will need one.
There Ought To Be A Law.
A 20 something man died after he tried to launch fireworks from on top of his head. His mother complained that there should be a law against such activity.
And while you can’t fix stupid, you also can’t fix stupid with laws.
29% Of All Accidents Involve Alcohol.
The highway sign proclaimed that 29% of all accidents involve alcohol. This means that 71% of all accidents involve sober drivers. This seems to imply that sober drivers have more accidents than drinking drivers.
