“Something is eating the Catnip!” so proclaimed my wife.  We had just acquired the plant and were getting ready move it to its permanent location when we noticed that most of the leaves were gone.   Suspecting that some garden insects had taken a liking to it, I began looking it up on the internet.  But, when I went back outside to inspect the plant, I discovered that our cat was chewing away at the leaves.

Mystery solved.

At the down down Lansing Capitol Complex, there are yellow lines on the walkways.  A few years ago, the State installed a heating system in the walkway to melt snow.  The yellow lines show the demarcation between the heated walkway and the unheated walkway.  That way, when it snows, you will know to walk between the yellow lines and not in the snow.
