Cheap Gas?

My new lawn mower wouldn’t start this spring.  After puttering with it for a few minutes, I went to their website for some tips.  They suggested that perhaps the gas was bad and to never buy gas from a discount gas station.  And their suggested fix was to rebuild the carburetor.

Since the name brands and the off brands all buy their gas from the same refineries, I wasn’t buying the manufacturers suggestions.  Instead, I adjusted the fuel mixture and it ran just fine.

Too Cheap For Micky Ds.

The other day, I was eating breakfast at McDonalds when I saw an old guy that looked like someone I know.  Since I hadn’t seen the guy in about 10 years, I wasn’t sure if it was him or just someone who looked like him.  But after some reflection, I realized that it couldn’t be the guy that I know because the guy that I know was too cheap to eat at McDonalds.

Weed N Feed.

Every spring, I try to put down weed and feed fertilizer on my lawn.  And while the grass does green right up, I still seem to have just as many weeds.  I am not noticing the weeds that are being killed?  Or do I have weeds that need a special weed killer?  Maybe one of these days I will get serious about my yard and pursue my weed issue.

Opening Feed Sacks.

When it comes to opening feed sacks,  I never seem to have much luck.  The instructions make it sound so simple.  Just pull the string and they will open right up.  Unfortunately, it never seems to work that way for me.  And ultimately, I end up using my knife.
