Sex Toys?

The president of Northwestern University is shocked that one of the professors proved his class with a live demonstration of sex toys.  While viewing the demonstration was optional, about 100 students stayed for the presentation.

The president of the university stated that the professor used poor judgment.  (You think???)  You would think that someone in the administration would be monitoring what classes are being taught.   I wonder if the students wrote home about the class?

Jagermeister.

Well, the other day, I was experimenting with a new recipes when I ran across one calling for Ouzo. And, while I knew what Ouzo was, I didn’t have any. So, I went to the local grocery store to buy some.

When I got there, I discovered that they didn’t carry Ouzo. Bah! I guess Lowell is not an Ouzo kind of town. (no surprise) So, I looked for a substitute.

I knew that the second choice of the recipe was Pernod. But, alas, in Lowell, that was even stranger than Ouzo.

While I had heard that Jagermeister was similar, I wasn’t familiar with the product. So, I bought it.

When I got home, a quick check on line determined that Jagermeister is not the same as Ouzo. Bah!

But, I did managed to acquire a small bottle of Ouzo (airline sample) and used it for my recipe. Done deal!

Unfortunately, I now have a bottle of Jagermeister.

Now, according to the bottle, it should be kept in the freezer and served ice cold.

According to my friends, it goes down really really smooth but if you have too much of it, it comes up very very bad. I think I got their drift.

Maybe I will save it for the holidays. I will keep it in the freezer next to the orange juice.

Pot Pies.

I occasionally like to  eat pot pies.  And, since I don’t eat a lot, I buy the cheap store brand rather than the name brand.

But, out of curiosity, I picked up a name brand to compare it.  When I turned it over to inspect the ingredients, I noticed that they were exactly the same.  By that, I mean that both pot pies had the exact same printing on the back.

This leads me to believe that the “in store” brand is made by the “name brand”.  I am glad that I am not paying extra for the name brand.
