Colored Waffles.

I saw a video clip of someone adding food coloring to their waffles.  And it made for some colorful looking waffles.   And, I have thought about trying it out, but I am afraid that my wife hasn’t recovered from the purple cauliflower I purchased a few weeks ago.

Colored Toilet Paper.

What ever happened to colored toilet paper?  When I was a kid, it came in pastel yellow and blue and pink.  Now it is just plain white.  Is it because people would rather have strong and absorbent?  Or is it because the pastels no longer match the color decor of the bathrooms?

Fiber Optic Plaque.

The fiber optic cable that was placed in the ground over 20 years ago is now starting to see a build up of fiber optic plaque.  This plaque creates a fiber optic haze so to speak and is diminishing the performance of the cable.  But engineers have discovered that by attaching a saw tooth light generator to the fiber, most of the plaque can be dislodged.  It then settles harmlessly to the bottom of the fiber.

Technology, where would we be without it.
